A Colbert man was arrested recently after he allegedly pointed a loaded rifle at people attending a party on Madison Boulevard in Colbert. Tomas Martinez, 46, 133 Madison Avenue, was charged with five counts of aggravated assault, one for each of the people he pointed the weapon at. A Danielsville man was recently sentenced to two years confinement for obstruction of officers. Mitchell Lee Weathersbee, 35, 1401 Ivrin Kirk Road Lot 24, Danielsville, was also sentenced to three years probation for obstruction of officers. Moses Zeb Townes, 87, 2658 Hardman Morris Road, was charged with one count of aggravated assault after he reportedly shot a man at his house in the leg with a shotgun.
