The two Statham children that were missing since Tuesday were found at 1:30 a.m. this morning in Columbia, S.C. The Statham Police Department yesterday evening, July 18, released a report of two runaway juveniles from the city of Statham. BOE to hold public hearing to review redistricting maps

The Barrow Board of Education will hold a public hearing Aug, 2 at 2 p.m. to review the county’s proposal for political districts as proposed by the Barrow County Board of Elections and Registration. Authorities are searching for an armed and dangerous suspect after a man and a woman were stabbed Monday night in Winder. The suspect is believed to be 45-year-old Manuel Angelo Finch. Authorities found the man believed to have stabbed two people just before midnight July 18. The suspect, 45-year-old Manuel Angelo Finch, was sitting in a living room in a Turk Road, Bethlehem, residence. When deputies told the homeowner they were looking for Finch, they were let in. Auburn closer to adopting FY2012 budget

Auburn city officials cut about $161,000 from its proposed FY2012 budget Tuesday night, including a planned pay hike for city employees. The town plans to adopt its new budget Aug. 2.
