The Wildcat Scat 5K will be Saturday, Aug. 27, beginning at 8:30 at Apalachee High School. The 5K race begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by a fun run at 10 a.m. Entry fee will be $30 on race day. Braselton gets grant for sewer line to new hospital

A federal agency has awarded Braselton a $1 million grant to install a sewer line that will serve a new hospital on Thompson Mill Road (Ga. Hwy. 347). Woman suspicious of big check from Canada

A woman told police that a check that arrived in the mail seemed like a scam, according to an incident report from Braselton police. The Piedmont Street woman said she received a check for $3,560 from Montréal, Canada. The check was issued from a bank in Texas and written in her name.
