Two women charged with shoplifting steaks

Two women were arrested recently after allegedly trying to shoplift steaks at the Bread Basket in Colbert. Holly Ann Hansford, 43, 7522 Hwy. 72 West, Colbert, and Page Yvonne Nalley, 36, 1092 Charlie Bolton Road, Hull, were each charged with one count of theft by shoplifting. Danielsville gets ‘clean opinion’ on audit report

Danielsville city council members received a good report on their 2010 audit Sept. 12. The council heard from city auditors Rushton and Company, who said the city had a “clean opinion” on its 2010 audit, which was late this year due to the personnel changes in the spring. House burns on Charlie Bolton Road

A house near Hull was completely destroyed by fire in the early morning of Sept. 19. A passing motorist spotted the fire at the brick house, located at 587 Charlie Bolton Road, about 4:18 a.m. and called E-911.
