City reservoir full; Bear Creek falling

Rainfall filled the Commerce reservoir last week, but the level of the Bear Creek Regional Reservoir continues to fall. “The reservoir went back to 697.6,” observed Bryan Harbin, Commerce’s director of water and sewer operations. Jobless rate creeps up to 10.4%

Jackson County’s unemployment rate crept up a tenth of a percent between July and August, according to figures released last week by the Georgia Department of Labor.
