In the first two weeks of early voting at the county elections office, more municipal voters from Auburn, Bethlehem and Winder cast their ballots than did voters from unincorporated portions of Barrow County. A Barrow County grand jury on Oct. 24 indicted former fire lieutenant Donald Todd Orr for allegedly telling his estranged wife in a July 30 phone call that he wished he had blown off her head last Christmas. Suspected wife killer Jim Lynn indicted in Barrow County

A Barrow County grand jury indicted Winder resident Jim Lynn, 43, with the murder of his late wife on Monday. Lynn has also been indicted on a felony charge of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor charge of obstruction.
