Prince Avenue downs Commerce, takes firm Region 8-A lead

Prince Avenue remains undefeated after dropping Commerce 35-13 on Friday and taking a decisive lead in Region 8-A. Commerce (3-5, 2-2) turned the ball over four times and managed just 126 total offensive yards. The Wolverines (8-0, 6-0) earned all of their 366 yards on the ground. Quay Little and Cody Streetman scored the Tigers' two touchdowns.

Madison County committed five first half turnovers and Clarke Central put 42 points on the board before intermission in a 55-20 Gladiator win Friday in Athens. The Apalachee High School football team has gotten hot at a critical time. The Wildats notched their third Region 8-AAAA victory defeating Cedar Shoals 28-13 on Homecoming.
