Streetman named offensive player of the year for 8-A

Region 8-A football coaches recently named their 2011 All-Region Team. In the lineup, Commerce High School quarterback Cody Streetman received top honors as the league’s offensive player of the year. Georgia's unemployment rate falls

Georgia’s unemployment rate declined to 9.9 percent in November, down three-tenths of a percentage point from 10.2 percent in October. The one-month decline is the largest in 34 years. THE JEFFERSON High School annex is one step closer to its demise. The city board of education (BOE) approved a $27,900 expenditure Thursday to demolish the high school classroom annex.
