Early voting is continuing this week in Barrow County for the presidential primary. Turnout so far has been moderate, said Barrow County Elections Supervisor Monica Franklin. Commerce man charged in string of church wiring thefts

A Commerce man has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of copper wire thefts in six area churches, as well as six residences, over the past two weeks. An existing park and ride lot in Braselton will be permanently closed on Friday, March 2, to make way for a widening project at the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 211 and Ga. Hwy. 124. A Winder man is in custody after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident while intoxicated Thursday afternoon.
