EAST Jackson senior Cale Pirtle won the 1,600 meters Saturday at the Eagle Invitational but his second-place finish in the 3,200 meters might have been more noteworthy. Town hall meeting planned March 15 at Hoschton Depot

Jackson County commissioner Bruce Yates will host a town hall meeting on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m., at the Hoschton Depot. The public meeting will feature a county manager review of 2011 and an outlook for 2012. Yates represents the West Jackson area (District 3) on the Jackson County Board of Commissioners.
