The West Jackson Fire Department helped extinguish a blaze at a Moon’s Bridge Road residence on Sunday, Feb. 19, according to an incident report. The Georgia House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill introduced by Rep. Tommy Benton that will allow displays of the Ten Commandments and eight other historic documents in public buildings throughout Georgia. Most Jackson County students continued to show some improvement in Math on the state’s End of Course Testing (EOCT) last fall.
