Auburn residents say sirens not loud enough

Several Auburn residents told the Auburn City Council last week that the city’s weather alert sirens aren’t loud enough. The residents said that while the sirens can be heard if you are outside, they cannot be heard from inside a house. Barrow grad rates fall under new formula

Using a new formula, graduation rates for area schools were placed downward in revised figures released by the Georgia Department of Education on Tuesday. A gas tanker overturned on Winder Highway in Dacula near Ga. Hwy. 316, Gwinnett police say.
