Barrow County students began Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) testing Wednesday. Georgia law requires that all students in grades one through eight take the CRCT in the content areas of reading, English/language arts, and mathematics. Bridge down to one lane until April 30

The State Route 11/Winder Highway Bridge over the Middle Oconee River west of River Walk Lane will be reduced to one lane from April 9-30 for reconstruction, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.
