Barrow BOC in July will change time of second monthly meetings

Starting in July, the second regular meeting of the Barrow County Board of Commissioners will begin an hour earlier. Instead of having a second voting session at 7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month, the BOC will have a 6 p.m. “work session” with no planned votes. Ceremony officially marks opening of new road

Maysville ends 2011 in the black

The Town of Maysville ended 2011 in the black and has now accumulated over a year’s worth of reserves in its General Fund. Maysville had revenues of $800,100 last year.
