A Braselton man received a large wound from a neighbor’s dog, according to an incident report from police. An officer on patrol on Zion Church Road noticed a man walking in the area with a rag over his arm. Janis Mangum and Ramone Gilbert will face off in an Aug. 21 runoff in the Jackson County sheriff’s race after Tuesday’s primary election. Voter turnout was 39 percent with 11,904 of the county’s 30,625 voters casting a ballot.
