The 16 year old boy who shot himself in a bathroom at Banks County High School early Friday morning has died. According to authorities, the student died early Saturday morning. Not motive has yet been discussed about the event. More details will be posted as they become available.

The all clear was given at 2 p.m. Friday at Banks County High School following a shooting earlier in the day. Students were released at that time. A 16-year-old male student at BCHS reportedly shot himself in a bathroom Friday at 8 a.m. and was life-flighted from the school. In a called meeting on Wednesday, the Banks County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution to allow the voters in Banks County to decide on Sunday alcohol sales by the drink.
