Crow beats Bicknell for BOC chairman; Mangum and Gilbert headed to runoff for sheriff

Janis Mangum and Ramone Gilbert will face off in an Aug. 21 runoff in the Jackson County sheriff’s race after Tuesday’s primary election. Voter turnout was 39 percent with 11,904 of the county’s 30,625 voters casting a ballot. Mangum took 41 percent of the votes on Tuesday with 4,507 votes, while Gilbert had 26 percent or 2,784 votes. ... [Full Story »]
