EAST Jackson dropped to 0-5 with a 42-2 loss to Elbert County Friday in the Granite Bowl. The Eagles, who are now 0-2 in Region 8-AAA play, face Hart County next week at home as East Jackson tries to break its losing skid. JEFFERSON tallied its highest point total since 2009 in a 62-26 win Friday over Greene County on the road. The 62 were the most Jefferson has scored since 63-28 win over Union County three years ago. Buford Wolves blank BCHS 63-0 in Region Contest

The Buford Wolves were all business this Friday night at Leopard Stadium.  They scored 49 points by halftime and gave the starters a break from the action. CHS, EJCHS SAT scores remain below state average

Commerce High School students posted a 46-point improvement on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) this year, but scores in both CHS and East Jackson Comprehensive High School remain well below the Georgia average.
