Woman on meth arrested for stabbing man

A woman who told a deputy that she had been awake for four days taking meth was charged with battery after she allegedly stabbed a man with a pocket knife during a dispute about a cell phone. ROUND one of the new crosstown series between East Jackson and Commerce went to the Tigers as Commerce scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to earn a 28-14 road win. BCHS drops to 1-1 with loss to Athens Christian

The Banks County Leopards took their first loss of the season at Athens to the Eagles.  The game was tight through the first half and the Eagles started out the second half with a run attack that the Leopards could not stop. The Leopards would score first in the game but that would be their only score and the loss was 7-22 to Athens Christian.
