Bethlehem to purchase property

The Town of Bethlehem is set to purchase the property at 18 E. Shepherd Street, which borders the back of city hall. In a called 10-minute meeting last Wednesday night, mayor Sandy McNab said the land’s owner, Ruth Maddox, has agreed to a $90,000 offer, which will be paid in three installments. Auburn passes budget, raises base water fees

The Auburn City Council passed its FY2013 budget last week, but it took the vote of the mayor to break a tie. Mayor Linda Blechinger cast the tie-breaking vote to pass the $2.85 million general fund budget.
