BCA teams enter region basketball tournament

The Bethlehem Christian Academy basketball teams hope to punch their state tournament tickets this week when they compete in the GISA Region 1-A tournament. The Apalachee High School Lady Wildcats will host Winder-Barrow High School Monday at 6 p.m. in a "play-in"game of the Region 8-AAAAA tournament. AHS is the host site for this year's tournament which will feature a total of 18 games. The AHS boys will host Cedar Shoals Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The WBHS boys will play Salem Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

The Apalachee High School swimmers have enjoyed a strong level of success in 2012-2013 and will see how they compare to the state’s best this Friday and Saturday at Georgia Tech. The Jackson County Comprehensive High School wrestling team finished fifth overall, just 2.5 points out of a fourth place finish and advanced to the sectional tournament.
