A 17-year old boy on Esco Road accidentally shot himself in the hand recently with a pistol while trying to unload it. According to the incident report, the boy’s mother said they were watching TV in the living room when she heard a bang and her son yelled out that he shot himself while sitting on the couch. Man gets 6 years on meth conviction

An Ila man was sentenced recently in Madison County Superior Court to six years confinement for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
