Man in barricade situation in Bethlehem

A Barrow County SWAT team was called out Jan. 30 in reference to a man who had barricaded himself in a Kings Court residence in Bethlehem after the man had forced his roommates out and fired one shot in the garage of his residence.


Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said as of 9 p.m. Jan. 30, the man had possibly left his residence after authorities believed he was still in the home.

The man apparently showed up at the residence after being released from jail in Gwinnett County and ordered his two roommates out of the residence, Smith said. The roommates called 911.
