A Danielsville woman was arrested recently after she refused to cooperate with officers who were dispatched to a domestic dispute and a drunken woman sitting in the road.
Beth Michelle Toole, 45, 292 Hillwood Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction or simple battery against a police officer/dog/corrections or detention officer.
According to the incident report, officer Joshua Smith went to the scene, where he met with the homeowner who said she received a phone call about her neighbor lying in the middle of the road, drunk. She said she came home to find Toole and others inside the house drunk and arguing. Officers then entered the home where they met a man and woman who told them “Beth is drunk.” When asked why Toole had been lying in the road, the woman said she followed someone out the door as they were leaving earlier. Toole then came stumbling down the hall and into the kitchen, yelling and cursing at the deputies. She fell twice while in the kitchen and became combative when deputies asked her to calm down. She was taken to jail and placed in a restraint chair because she continued to be combative.
