Statham to vote on new budget next month

Statham officials are scheduled to vote on approving its 2012-2013 fiscal year budget at the city’s June council meeting. In the proposed budget, approximately $2.4 million is projected in revenue with same amount estimated for expenditures.

The estimated revenue is comprised of the general fund ($1,167,794), utility fund ($1,005,634), garbage fund ($150,800) and building fund ($62,334.) The largest expenditures in the proposed 2012-2013 budget includes $567,510 for water plant operations and $466,617 for the police department.
