Christopher Busby (8-18-12)

ANDERSON, S.C. – Christopher Keith Busby, 20, died Saturday, August 18, 2012.

Born in Clarke County on August 3, 1992, he was the son of father and stepmother, Keith and Cathy Busby of Anderson, S.C. and mother and stepfather, Melissa Smith Still and Allan Still of Hartwell. He was a personal trainer with Professional Fitness Studios and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville. He attended the Allen’s United Methodist Church in the Red Hill Community. Mr. Busby was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Vollrath.

Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother and sister, D.J. Burroughs and Presley Burroughs, both of Hartwell; stepbrother and step-sister, Adam Ryan and Kelsey Ryan, both of Anderson, S.C.; and grandparents, Edwin and Frances Smith, Carlton, and Alice Still, Loganville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ian Jones and Mrs. Dawn Harber-Ray officiating. Burial will be in the Lavonia City Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home in Royston where the family will receive friends Monday, August 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. The family is at their respective homes.
