BALDWIN - Finess Nathaniel Gailey, 75, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Banks, County on December 2, 1936, he was the son of the late Finus Lee and Arizona Adeline Brock Gailey. He was a retired technician with Mt. Vernon Mill and was a deacon of New Birth Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising chickens and was a member of The Rosecomb Federation. Mr. Gailey was also preceded in death by brothers, Condus and Fred Gailey; and a sister, Ruth Blackwell.
Survivors include his wife Linda Mauldin Gailey, Baldwin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry (Jeremy) Spivey, Joy (Eddie) Jenkins, Selena (Paul) Manley, all of Baldwin; brothers, Robert Gailey, Toccoa, Larry Gailey, Homer, Johnny Gailey, Lee Gailey, Jr., James Gailey, all of Alto; sisters, Frances Donaldson, Toccoa and Carrie Norton, Baldwin; four grandchildren, McKayla Jenkins, Katerina and Zeke English, Blake and Cody Manley; one great-grandchild, Gauge English; mother-in-law, Mayzelle Mauldin, Baldwin; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 28, at Redemption Outreach Ministries in Homer with the Revs. Bill Trotter and David Carithers officiating. Interment will follow in New Birth Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 27, at the funeral home.
