BETHLEHEM – Leila Mavis Ferguson, 73, died Friday, September 28, 2012.
She was born February 13, 1939, the daughter of the late Fred and Adelia Elliott Coursey. She enjoyed helping others as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband, Carl M. Ferguson, Bethlehem; sons, Tony Woodall, San Francisco, Calif. and Larry Fitzpatrick, Alpharetta; a daughter, Norma Presnell, Statham; stepson, Kenneth Ferguson, Dallas, Ga.; stepdaughters, Charlotte Martin, Aurora, Colo. and Carla Bailey, Rockmart; brother, Norman Coursey, Cumming; sisters, Regina Massey, Clairmont, and Margaret Langford, Gainesville; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. The Rev. Robert Schwartz will officiate a service of remembrance during visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
