Tiebreaker gives nod to Everett

Kimm Everett of Winder was tied with five other contestants last week in the Barrow Journal football contest but took the $50 prize after the tiebreaker.

Everett guessed 67 points would be scored in the Apalachee vs. Winder-Barrow game and 62 points were totaled by the team. Everett had nine correct picks to edge out Sarah Garrett, Ruby Phillips, Allyssa Landers, John Landers and Mellissa Landers during the tough week for prognosticators.

Those with eight correct included Robert Phillips, Donald Landers Jr., Mike Murphy, Mary Highfield, Dwight Barnes, Jimmie Shedd, John Sheats, Gary Hoopaugh, Zack Hoopaugh, Sue Sheats, Deborah Prickett, Greg Prickett, Holly Sheats and Luke Sheats.


Those with seven correct included Donald Landers, Ray K. Fumea, Skyler Murphy, Cecil Highfield, Tim Husk, Steve Taylor, Brandon Shedd, Claude Harris, Angela Smith, Caleb Prickett, Michael Cameron, Mark Staley, Marvin Ledbetter, Sandra Ledbetter, Ken Moore, Johnny Everett, Charles Garrett, Reed Sheats, Louise H. Etheridge, Tommy Thompson and Tiffany Cooper.
