Woman charged after allegedly scratching boyfriend

A South Carolina woman was arrested recently after she allegedly scratched her boyfriend and “tore up” his house.

Jennifer Lynn Collins, 23, 421 Commonwealth Road, Mt. Pleasant, was charged with one count of battery FVA.

According to the incident report, officer Brandon Moss was dispatched to the residence on Hwy. 29 South where he met with Collins, who told Moss her boyfriend had left taking her cell phone with him.

She appeared to be “very intoxicated” and almost fell several times while trying to speak with Moss. In the meantime, her boyfriend, who had gone to the Golden Pantry to call police, was brought back to the house to get his property. When he went inside, he came back out and told officers Collins she had “torn the house up.”

Officers then went inside, where they found a busted window, broken TV and all the light bulbs busted. All of the items from the refrigerator were thrown all over the house. The boyfriend then showed officers scratch marks on his face and said she had jumped on him when he tried to leave.
