A Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the McDonald’s parking lot off Highway 124 in Hoschton for a medical car where a 32-year-old male victim reportedly had become sick after taking bath salts — a designer, synthetic substance — and smoking marijuana.
According to a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the deputy arrived on scene to find the victim in a car advising he had been poisoned. There were two other occupants in the car.
The victim was taken to Barrow Medical Center by an ambulance.
Other incidents that occurred recently in the West Jackson area include:
•dispute at Laguna Mexican Grille on Freedom Parkway, Hoschton, between a manager and a customer. A deputy advised the landlord to take the issue to magistrate court.
•theft identity on Brannon Drive, Hoschton, where a woman reported that she found out someone was drawing on her benefit through her Social Security number when she tried to apply for unemployment insurance.
•delayed accident on Jefferson St., Hoschton, involving a black Ford Explorer.
•theft by taking on Cooper Bridge Road, Braselton, for a report of a missing four wheeler.
