A Madison County man might have gotten away with the theft of a motorcycle from a Commerce business if he’d just kept his mouth shut.
But, according to the Commerce Police Department, Kevin Conley, 19, of 47 Joyce Court, Lot 47, Hull, bragged about stealing the bike back on Aug. 21 from ABC Pawn on North Broad Street.
The motorcycle had previously been recovered. Conley was arrested last week and charged with felony burglary.
On Nov. 21, a man walked into the police department and told officers that his stepson stole the motorcycle, according to the incident report. The 51-year-old white male, when asked how he knew, said that the suspect’s brothers told him and that the suspect himself bragged about stealing the motorcycle from a storage building.
The witness also claimed that Conley continues to steal items and that he is involved in domestic violence issues.
