HULL - James M. Pridgen Jr., 80, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at his residence.
A native of Royston, he was born February 19, 1932, the son of late James and Thelma Pridgen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Pridgen; and a daughter, Pamela Findley.
Mr. Pridgen served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He retired after 40 years as a Cotton States insurance agent and owner of Pridgen Farm on Ginns Pool Road in Royston.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Pridgen (Jan Pridgen), Royston, Bruce Pridgen, Elberton, and Glen Pridgen (Greta Pridgen), Winterville; son-in-law, Donnie L. Findley; special friend, Dot Crook, five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Redwine United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pruitt Funeral Home from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, December 11.
