Nicholson man charged with battery

A Nicholson man was arrested recently after a fight at Diamond Hill Trailer Park on Hwy. 29 South.

Jeffrey Todd Revers, 48, 5488 Nowhere Road, was charged with one count of battery.

According to the incident report, officer Jason Luke and several other officers were dispatched to the trailer park to meet with a woman and her brother following an altercation with the woman’s estranged live-in boyfriend (Revers).

Luke met with the woman, who told him that she had retrieved her property, with the assistance of another officer, from her boyfriend’s residence on Nowhere Road earlier that day and was staying with her brother at his trailer. Revers came to her brother’s home and exchanged words with her brother, when he answered the door. Revers then reportedly struck her brother and cut him with an object on the left arm. Luke observed where the brother had been cut. Revers then reportedly “came after” the woman, who was inside the residence, grabbing her around the throat and threatening to kill her if she didn’t return home with him. She said she grabbed the phone and called 9-1-1. Revers reportedly left the scene when he heard that officers were on their way.

Luke and the other officers then went to Revers’ residence on Nowhere Road and knocked on the door. Luke observed Revers walking toward the door with a large stick in his hand, which he had put down when he answered the door. He was secured in handcuffs for officer safety and questioned. Luke noted that Revers appeared to be intoxicated. He denied having struck or cut his girlfriend’s brother. He was arrested and taken to jail.

•Darrell Cutrer Jr., 25, 83 Old Church Road, Athens, battery/simple battery FVA.

•Willie James Faust, 57, 19 Beaver Run, Winterville, failure to appear.

•Prenell Shamar Gantt, 48, 2605 Sims Kidd Road, Comer, probation violation.

•Tina Louise Giddeons, 5821 Hwy. 106 South, Hull, DUI/drugs and weaving over roadway.

•Richard Earl Helms, 48, 505 Kathwood Drive, Elberton, felony failure to appear.

•Amber Nicole Minish, 18, 259 Combs Avenue, Martin, criminal trespass.

•Justin Lee Neese, 37, 76 Stone Ridge Drive, Colbert, three counts of probation violation.
