The Braselton Community Improvement District board of directors met Monday for another update of the progression of the Braselton LifePath, a 1.7-mile multi-use path that will connect residential and retail properties along Highway 211 and Thompson Mill Road.
CID Administrator Guy Herring told the board that easements are still in the works up to Thompson Mill Road. He did not have a time frame for completion of the project. Other plans are currently being reviewed by the Georgia Department of Transportation, he said.
In other business, the group approved expenditures for lighting options for the new LifePath.
Herring said he received a quote from Pirkle Electric for $1,500 per light fixture. The board approved the purchase and installation of the three poles in a unanimous vote.
OTHER ACTION
In other action Monday, the board:
•set an election date for Post 4 in order to hold an election for another four-year term for board members. The decision will now put every board member on rotating four-year cycles. Registration will occur on Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. and the caucus will follow at 4:15 p.m.
•approved meeting minutes from Dec. 3, 2012.
•approved a financial statement indicating a debt payment to Independence Bank in the amount of $52,546.95 (which was principle and interest on a loan due on Jan. 15) and two invoices paid to MDA for construction and utilities and CID administrator fees in the amounts of $3,152.50 and $2,415.
