Actions filed in Superior Court

Actions filed recently in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Madison County include:

•Terry Joe Baxter, 56, 1226 Stone Stewart Road, Hull, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $337 for violating a family violence order.

•Jennifer Garrett, 38, 161 Bryant Park Road, Franklin Springs, was sentenced to one year $337 for obstruction of officers.

•Darrell Wallace, 40, 161 Bryant Park Road, was sentenced to one year probation for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, driving while license suspended or revoked and obstruction of officers. He was also fined $935. A charge of speeding was dismissed.

•David Keith Wagner Jr., 32, 1046 Octavia Ct., Winder, was sentenced to one year probation for driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to dim headlights. He was also fined $345.

•Rakemin Jaquin Hillsman, 29, 1177 Hull Road, Athens, was sentenced to one year probation and fined $270 for battery. A charge of failure to appear was dismissed.

•Corey Brandon Price, 21, 969 Hwy. 172, Colbert, was sentenced to one year probation for possession of drug-related objects (reduced from possession of cocaine) and no proof of insurance. He was also fined $340. Charges of driving without headlights and driving on improper registration were dismissed.

•Richard Fredrick Owenby Jr., P.O. Box 770 Carnesville, was sentenced to five years probation for criminal damage to property in the second degree and one year probation for three counts of theft by taking and one count of false report of a crime. He was also fined $725.

•Dustin Albert Edwards, 23, 74 Buddy Moore Road #9, Colbert, was sentenced to five years probation for possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and two years probation for possession of a schedule III controlled substance. Edwards was also fined $925. A charge of drugs not in original container was also dismissed.

•George Dempsey Parker, 20, 136 Cole Ridge Ct., Athens, was sentenced to seven years probation for burglary (reduced from felony theft by taking) and a separate charge of felony theft by taking. He was also sentenced to one year probation for obstruction of officers and fined a total of $775.

•James Edward Lawson, 47, 342 Sunset Drive, Athens, was sentenced to five years confinement and five years probation for robbery. He was also fined $725.

•Christopher Sorrow, 23, 4101 Hwy. 29 South, Colbert, was sentenced to 10 years probation for burglary and two counts of theft by taking. He was also sentenced to 10 hours of a community service on each charge and fined $100.

•Stephanie Lynn Sims, 33, 467 Kellogg Drive, Colbert, was sentenced to 10 years probation and fined $320 for identity fraud. A second charge of identity fraud was dismissed.
