Stoy Chandler (1-20-13)

COMMERCE - Stoy H. Chandler, Jr., 88, Sunday, January 20, 2013, at his residence.

He was born in Royston, the son of the late Stoy H. and Margie Lee Culbertson Chandler, Sr. He was retired from General Motors and was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Mealor Chandler.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Upchurch, Waterloo, Iowa; and grandchildren, Stephen, Jason and Melanie Upchurch.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 21, from 5 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Commerce Jolly Agers Group, 1345 S. Elm St., Commerce, GA 30529.
