The Banks County Sheriff’s Office arrested 15 people on drug charges this week after executing four search warrants.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol and their aviation unit, along with officers from Pardons and Parole and officers from the Georgia Department of Probation, conducted an early morning operation Monday where four search warrants were executed. Four teams of officers spread out across the county to make the arrests, as a helicopter flew overhead. Officers seized drugs, guns and U.S. currency during this operation. Twelve arrests were made at that time, with three more being arrested later.
Search warrants were executed at 210 Woodland Street, Homer; 5509 Highway 51 South, Lula; 257 Highway 98, Homer; and on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup, chief deputy Shawn Wilson reported.
Sheriff Carlton Speed said, “This is just a small step in our first days in office to demonstrate to the citizens of Banks County that we are committed to the fight against illegal drugs within Banks County.”
Those arrested and their charges include:
•Angela Mae Aitken, 34, 210 Woodland Street, Homer, sale of methamphetamine.
•Tracy Yvonne Banks, 47, 183 Hogan Street, Maysville, failure to appear.
•Kennedy Fitgeral Crowell, 49, 225 Woodland Street, Homer, sale of Morphine.
•Becky Chambers Dill, 55, 123 Indian Village Drive, Maysville, sale of Lortab and Soma.
•Mitchell Keith Dill, 28, 123 Indian Village Drive, Maysville, sale of Morphine.
•David Dan Green Jr., 31, 257A Georgia Highway 98, Homer, sale of Oxycodone.
•Cody Allen Lanphear, incarcerated in the Hall County Jail, charges pending.
•Gwen Carol Nation, 50, Highway 51 South, Lula, sale of Lortab.
•Andrew Scott O’Kelley, 35, 125 Chambers Street, Homer, sale of Methadone and sale of Methadone within 1,000 feet of school property.
•Jill O’Kelley, 38, 125 Chambers Street, Homer, sale of Methadone and sale of Methadone within 1,000 feet of school property.
•Betty Ann Ridenour, 52, 210 Woodland Street, Homer, possession of methamphetamine.
•Jessica Nicole Wade, 27, 6217 Banks Street, Lula, possession of marijuana.
•Renee Arlene Wade, 48, 6217 Banks Street, Lula, possession of Lortab and Carisoprodol.
•Anthony Thomas Watkins, 29, 1220 East County Line Road, Danielsville, sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and Methadone with the intent to distribute.
•Edith Ramona Wiley, 42, P.O. Box 155, 159 Baker Street, Homer, possession of marijuana, sale of cocaine within housing project property, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of school property and sale of cocaine.
All of the offenders were booked into the Banks County Jail.
Wilson reported Tuesday that three outstanding warrants are still under investigation.
