Winder Police searching for armed robbery suspect

The Winder Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in an armed robbery that took place over the weekend. Officers responded to the package store on McNeal Road around 1:47 p.m. on Jan. 19. A black male described as having a goatee style beard, large build, wearing all dark clothing, sunglasses and a stocking hat held a store employee at gunpoint and demanded money. The male left the store walking in the direction of a shopping center parking lot across the street from the package store, and was able to get away with approximately $350-$400 in cash.
