DANIELSVILLE – Douglas McLendon, 65, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Franklin County on December 7, 1947, the son of the late Buck and Lou Ella Nix McLendon. He was a diesel mechanic having worked 33 years for Tyner’s Truck and Auto.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Phillips McLendon, Danielsville; children and spouses, Andy (Wanda) McLendon, Michael McLendon, and Dana (Jason) Baker, all of Danielsville; grandchildren, Matthew McLendon, Miranda McLendon, Silase McLendon, and Jessica Baker; and a brother, John McLendon, Danielsville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
