Linebacker becoming a “force” in Panthers’ lineup

An offseason football challenge has turned one wrestler this season into a “force to deal with” heading into the Area 4 AAA meet on Friday.

Evan Breakspear (220-lbs.) won his second individual tournament for his Jackson County Comprehensive High School team Saturday at the Bowdon Invitational meet.
Lane Robertson (182-lbs.) joined him with a first-place finish, also his second tournament win of the season.
Six more Panthers placed, a collective effort that boosted the team to a fifth-place finish out of the 16 teams that competed.
Coach Jason Powers said the meet provided a solid setup for the Area 4 AAA meet, which begins Friday at Elbert Co.
