Lon Stone (1-29-13)

JEFFERSON – Lon Lee Stone, 58, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

He was the son of Jean Marie Stone of Columbia, S.C. and the late Alonzo R. Stone. Lon was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was employed with Community Health Systems.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Cheryl Stone, Jefferson; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Laura Harper, Bethlehem; daughter, Ashley Harper, Jefferson; two grandchildren, Kylie and Madison, both of Bethlehem; brothers, Richard Stone and Robert Stone, Columbia, S.C., and Rodney Stone, Greenville, S.C.; and sisters, Bonnie Driggers, Buford, and June Kimbriel, Eastover, S.C.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 9, at 2 p.m. at Hope Crossings Church, 2106 Old Pendergrass Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hope Crossing Church where Lon was a member.
