Marvin Massey Jr. (2-6-13)

ALTO - Marvin Dean Massey, Jr., 59, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Commerce, the son of the late Marvin Dean Massey Sr. and Betty Jane Crane Massey. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was in commercial construction.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Caudell Massey, Alto; stepson, Chuck Wilkes, Cumming; stepdaughter, Brandy Ward, Athens; brother, Boyd Massey, Carnesville; sisters, Peggy Peters, Watkinsville, Linda Blalock, Danielsville, and Sue Chastain, Royston; and four step-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 9, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Wood and William Bray officiating. Interment will be at Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, February 8, at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
