Daivon Ledford, JT Wood win Area titles for JCCHS

The Jackson County Comprehensive High School wrestling team finished fifth overall, just 2.5 points out of a fourth place finish and advanced to the sectional tournament. JT Wood (120 lbs.) and Daivon Ledford (170 lbs.) turned in the Panthers’ best performances, winning their weight classes and becoming area champions. They will continue on to the sectional round at Morgan County this weekend. Joining them in Morgan County will be the Panthers other top-four finishers. They are: Conner Andreasen (132 lbs.), who finished as the runner-up in his class; Zak Evans (138 lbs.) and Evan Breakspear (220 lbs.), who both finished in third place; and Lane Robertson (182-lbs.), who took fourth place.
