Charlotte Ann MacGregor died of respiratory failure at Magnolia Estates Assisted Living in Bogart on Sunday, February 3, 2013.
She was born in Pontiac, Mich., on August 1, 1930. She was the fourth of six children born to Fred and Loretta Hall. Char grew up in Birmingham, Mich. and graduated from Birmingham High School. She worked some years as secretary at General Motors until marrying James (Jimmy) Belisle of Blind River, Ontario in 1956. There in Canada she kept the home until her husband's death in 1968. Five years later she married Russell MacGregor, also from Blind River, Ontario. After Russ's death in 1973, she relocated to New Smyrna Beach, Fla. Then in 2003, she briefly moved to Orange City, Fla. before finally relocating to Danielsville in 2004. While in Danielsville, she enjoyed time with family, weekly trips to Walmart, and excursions with the Senior Saints group from Bluestone Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Jimmy and Russ; two brothers, Fred Hall, Armada, Mich. and Richard (Dick) Hall, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., a sister, Loretta Duffy, Birmingham; and a stepsister, Judy Hall, Birmingham, Mich.
Survivors include a sister, Patty Jafano, Washington, Mich.; a stepsister, Maxine Lohman, Huntington Beach, Calif.; brother, Gilbert Hall, Bellingham, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Bluestone Baptist Church cemetery located north of Danielsville.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Saints Van Fund at Bluestone Baptist Church in Danielsville.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
