A fund has been set up to help the family of Franklin County’s Bonny Anne Cooner.
Cooner’s body was found in a Franklin County well after a two-week search for the missing Canon woman.
Her boyfriend, Brent James Shubert, 43, has been arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault and concealing a death.
Cooner has a 12-year-old son.
An account for “Bonny Cooner and Son” has been set up at First Madison Bank and Trust. Donations can be made at any of the bank’s three locations in Colbert, Danielsville and Athens. Checks should be made payable to “Bonnie Cooner and Son” when dropping off or mailing donations.
“Thank you in advance for everyone’s love and prayers for this wonderful family,” fund organizers said.
A candlelight vigil for Cooner is also planned for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the gazebo in downtown Lavonia.
