COMMERCE - Elena Beard Nash, 96, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Alzheimers Care of Commerce.
She was born in Dayton, Tenn., the daughter of the late S. White and Harriet McPherson Beard. She was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church and a lifelong member of Order of the Amaranth. She was retired from Eastern Airlines. Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by her husband, Adams Arthur Nash; two sisters; and a brother.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Stephens and Yvonne Wallace, both of Commerce, Elena Elizabeth Brown, Dayton Beach, Fla.; son, Samuel Nash, Lexington; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; her extended family to include the fraternal family of the Order of the Amaranth; and her co-workers from Eastern Airlines.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, February 18, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, in Spring City Cemetery, Spring City, Tenn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, February 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
