For coach Mike Elmankabady and the Bethlehem Christian Academy Lady Knights, the 2012-2013 season was just a beginning.
With the entire roster returning for next season, the BCA coach said he is looking for the team to take positive steps forward.
“The good news is we are young,” Elmankabady said. “We don’t lose anyone.”
The coach said when the team was eliminated from the GISA Region 1-A tournament following a loss to Nathanael Greene, the players were clearly upset by the outcome.
“We came a long way just learning about the sport and the fundamentals,” Elmankabady said. “We have a good group of girls who will carry us into next season.”
The team will attend camp this summer in preparation for the new season.
Maggie Barth scored seven points in the region tournament game against Nathanael Greene while Sarah Beth Adams scored five and Ravyn Harrison finished with four. Harrison was named All-Region for the Lady Knights.
