Woman arrested following scratching, trespassing incidents

A Danielsville woman was arrested two days in a row last week following incidents involving bathrooms.

On Friday, Feb. 15, Jane Mae Sue Vinson, 40, 5907 Jot-Em-Down Road, was charged with battery and obstruction after she allegedly scratched an emergency services technician who had been called to her home regarding “a female in a bathroom that could not move.”

Officer Timothy Parr was first on the scene, where he met with Vinson and her mother. Vinson claimed she had been drugged by her mother and her daughter. While Parr was trying to talk with Vinson, she began yelling at her mother. The mother told Parr that Vinson had not taken her medication that day and had been “saying strange things all evening.” Two EMS workers arrived and began trying to talk with Vinson. As Parr prepared to leave, Vinson reportedly got out of a recliner and went toward her mother. One of the EMTs got between the two women and Vinson allegedly scratched him on the neck. She was arrested and taken to jail. Her son, who was also at the scene, was left in the care of her mother.

The following day, Saturday, Feb.16, officers were called to a neighbor’s home on Jot-Em-Down Road regarding Vinson, who reportedly came into their home, despite being told to leave, went into the bathroom, locked the door and began to take a shower. Officers Jeff Strickland and Jason Luke went to the door, identified themselves and told her to come out of the bathroom, to which Vinson reportedly replied, “I’m taking a shower, I’m sorry, and I’m a married woman, so No!” Officers finally got the door open and removed Vinson. She was handcuffed and taken to jail again.
