Tax commissioner plans open house

Banks County tax commissioner, Becky Carlan, will have an open house on March 12 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to allow anyone to come into the office to ask questions they have regarding the new Title Ad Valorem Tax.

“This time will also give an opportunity to anyone that purchased a vehicle January 1, 2012 - February 28, 2013, to opt in to the new system,” Carlan said. “A copy of the bill of sale is needed to complete the opt in option.”
